Are you thinking about the Eagle Rock community? Interested in knowing about the neighborhood itself? Let me give you a little taste of what this part of Northeast Los Angeles is all about as an area Realtor.
Eagle Rock was once a vast strawberry ranch that replaced the open range of grazing pastures of the Rancho San Rafael. In 1906, a streetcar was put in place from downtown Los Angeles and was known at the galloping goose.
The north side of Eagle Rock was dotted with large homes on bigger than average lots and in 1911 it was incorporated as a city. The early 1900′s showed a large number of Victorian, Craftsman and Colonial Spanish homes.
The name of Eagle Rock is from a very unique rock formation that looks like an eagle in flight. One is able to have wondrous views depending on the exact location of ones home. Occidental College has long been a resident of Eagle Rock and is still highly recognized today.
Today one will find persons of all income levels, a large gay community, a number of artist and musicians with a good number in fields related to the entertainment industry. All showing positive growth with homes in demand if priced right with desired amenities. The prices can range from the $475k range all the way past the $1 million mark.
Need a great reference point then check out the local neighborhood council for updated happenings taking place.
