Well it’s time for the holidays and much going on in Highland Park. The Veterans Day parade was a big hit once again as a variety of acts and people strolled down Figueroa Street. It is not time for the end of year festivities. Quite a few big acts are set and one just recently started was Opera. La Boheme was presented at the Ebell Club this past Nov. 9 & 10th with more to come. The Pacific Opera project is just starting and will be ongoing in different locations of Highland Park.
The Historic Heritage Square Museum will once again present its show of the times. A rendering of what the holidays were like back in the early 1900′s. One will be able to see the clothes and hear the songs as groups strolled the streets to bring joy to all. Keep an eye out for this as the itinerary will be posted soon at the Heritage Square Museum website. A fun event for the entire family.
The Highland Park Christmas Parade will once again delight the crowd with its diversity and music as Figueroa comes alive with signs of the holidays. One will be able to see all the community organizations that make this part of Northeast Los Angeles so popular. Fun and more fun as even the Hermon Dog Park is well represented with its K9′s on parade. The Kiwanis Club and Chamber of Commerce along with Franklin High School will bring a show to remember.
